<p>Happy New Year everyone! This year has gone by really fast, at least for me. Many things have happened to Strafe, including it's creation.</p>
<h2 id="heading-strafes-birth-story">Strafe's Birth Story</h2>
<p>I started on a project called Revurn with <a target="_blank" href="https://twitter.com/AstroApex22">Astro</a>, I was not in control of this project and believed the technologies we were using were holding us back feature wise. After consideration I decided to part ways and got a message from a developer I'd never met before named <a target="_blank" href="https://twitter.com/palentierdev">Chase</a>. We wanted to create a chat application that everyone could enjoy and speak freely, no matter what beliefs you had.</p>
<h2 id="heading-strafe-now">Strafe Now</h2>
<p>Many things have happened this year as you may now, our co-founder Chase has stepped down and left the project. We have new main developers and are using better technologies. I would personally like to thank <a target="_blank" href="https://twitter.com/rtgamingwdt">YoItsRT</a> for his major role in Strafe's development and <a target="_blank" href="https://twitter.com/SLp174">Shadowlp174</a> for his as well. We plan on a private alpha for testing and hope to see it come out soon. We've already invited people to it, and are going to host it after we finish our authentication system.</p>
